Yesterday I had to do a bit of shopping for my upcoming trip to Panama.
and my back was so bad that I ... wait for it...
had to rent a motorized wheelchair. cue another lesson in humility.
Shopping also made me realize I'm excited about having a babe in my arms, and a waist back... eventually. Instead of going home with something for the rehearsal dinner next week, I went home with what I'll now call my fat pants. man, are they comfy. and comfort is king at the moment.
But if I had one this holiday season, you can bet I'd be wearing sky high clogs, pretty backless long dresses, princess tulle skirts, peplum, and a nice a-line skirt.

haha aw Sarah your waist will be back soon enough and that pink dress would look killer on you!

Sarah! You are too cute (even in a motorized wheelchair)!
ReplyDeleteHope your back is feeling better soon love!
Oh Sarah, I didn't realize you were struggling with back pain. Mine is very bad as well.
ReplyDeleteI am pursuing chiropractic care and acupuncture to help relieve something...hopefully.
Also, if your back pain is low, around your hips, through your butt, ask your doctor about an SI belt - they are uncomfortable to wear while sitting, but I wear one on and off every day, especially when I need to cook, walk up stairs, etc. It helps to also try to plan standing activities together so I can put the belt on and get a burst of things done at once.
I find that when things feel like they are "held together" I am more comfortable. Also, ingrid and isabel ruched tanks seems to help hold my belly more firmly in place (not that it is going anywhere) but that lessens my back pain a bit as well. There are more supportive options, but I haven't tried them yet.
Sending prayers for both your trip and hopefully your pain to subside.
i am so sorry about your back!! but you are so close :)
ReplyDeleteAww I'm so sorry about your back pain. I hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is beyond gorgeous. So soon and you'll be able to wear it.. with a cute little boy on your hip!!
I love that tulle skirt, it's so pretty! I'm very sorry to hear you're having so much back pain. It will all be worth it once little Tuck arrives. And you'll have your waist back in no time I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteJust think...next Christmas you will not only have your old waist back, but an 11 month old walking around and pulling on that gorgeous tulle skirt! Win win'
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness this made me smile... you will forever remember the day you rented one of those things. so excited for your little one and i pray you enjoy these last few months (errr - weeks) of preggy-ness!!!
ReplyDeletethe days of having a waist--wow it seems ages ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly certain your "fat pants" are probably equivalent to most people's regular size pants. Have no fear, I'm sure you'll be back to a skinny mini in no time! I had back problems with my second born so I completely understand. You're almost there! :)
ReplyDeleteenjoy your comfortable holiday season- there's always next year to get all glitzy! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog so much! Good luck with the last part of your pregnancy! Can't wait to see pics of the baby :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting. Long, dramatic dresses like the hot pink one you posted are so gorgeous, I wish we had more opportunities to wear dresses like that. And I agree, when you're happy with your figure it's a lot more fun to dress up.
ReplyDeleteIs this a polyvore collage? Love those, I've just started using polyvore. Keep up the good work, your blog is one of my favorite new blogs to follow.

Oh my goodness, girl! I am glad I am not alone. The other day, I had worked all day, just on my feet a lot doing stuff all over town (without my "Best Cradle" support belt) and that evening by the time I got to Target, I literally could not walk. Plus, I didn't know where to find any of the stuff I needed. After shuffling all the way to the back of the store, I finally asked a nice employee to help direct me. She asked if I needed a shopping cart, but I jokingly said, "No, what I'd really love is one of those motorized carts!" She was like, "Done!" and proceeded to call someone to bring it to me. Then as I sat down (super embarrassed but totally thankful), she told me she'd run around the store and get my stuff and I'd just have to meet her at the registers. She made my day!
ReplyDeleteLove this pink dress.*_*

ReplyDeleteI particularly love the peplum top and I've been eyeing the bow-back top from ASOS for a while now. The fairy princess skirt would be perfect for the holidays ( I think I saw Jacin from LLD showing it off on Instagram).
Hope your back pain gets better real soon!
