love the start of a new year. somehow you see things a bit clearer. looking back on the past year I do feel blessed, but I also know there are some things I can be working on. I'm thankful for the soul searching that always seems to come with a new year.
Some of those things that could use work:
choosing JB over my phone
consistently exercising
work hard during the week, stop. rest. repeat each new morning.
don't sweat small things
forgive easier
do my hair more often. sounds so ridiculous, but when my hair is wrong - I feel all sorts of wrong.
and a couple that go along with nice typography (:
I'd really like to work on being kind to myself.
sounds so silly.
yes. once again mary oliver. you hit the nail on its head.
i'd like to worry less. trust God more. pray instead of worrying.
Wishing you all tons of blessings and love in 2012!
any resolutions you'd like to share?

i agree wit you hun, i def need to stop worrying so much as well! love the dress xo
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Sarah! I am laughing at the "do my hair more", long hair is lovely when it is done but just like you I tend to let it be, I definitely would like to make my hair more lovely more often. Less Pony Tails for me in 2012! Yes, and I am also thankful for the soul searching that comes and the refreshing feeling of starting new. I hope you, the hubs and lola are enjoying your 2012, looking forward to seeing your business flourish in this new year!
ReplyDeleteseriously, your hair always looks perfect. jealous that you don't have to blow dry it all the time.
ReplyDeleteadam and i have a 'no box' rule (yes that sounds dirty), which basically means no computer after he gets home from work so we don't get caught up in sitting in the same room but on the internet all night.
it's made weekday evenings that much more relaxing :)
I need to be less hard on myself too. It's amazing that when someone else does something I think they are so clever and talented but when I do the equivalent, it's nothing.
ReplyDeleteI also need to worry less {it's like we're the same person}.
And the list of my resolutions keep growing...not sure if that's a good thing or not
i know what you mean about picking up that dang phone {i do the same things with the computer i.e. blogging} happy 2012 sarah! excited to continue to follow you on your journey (:
ReplyDeleteLove that one about picking the people you're physically with over the phone, even though one of my resolutions is to actually call my friends who are far away rather than texting/emailing/gchatting only!
ReplyDeleteHope 2012 is great for you, Sarah :)
love these quotes...so beautiful. so very inspiring to read your resolutions ;) i can agree with many!! like forgiving easier, worrying less, and not sweating the small things!!
ReplyDeletemy mom always tells me, don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff.
ReplyDeleteeven though in the moment it might now feel like small stuff usually in the scheme of things it's very small stuff
I feel like you're in my head! Totally agree with all your resolutions. Couldn't agree more, actually.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful resolutions - thank you for sharing!!! I hope you have a fabulous 2012!!! Xx
ReplyDeleteThat dress is fabulous! ''don't sweat small things'' Is one of my fave quotes ever. Such a simple was to look at it, but sooo true.
ReplyDeleteP.s your hair always looks gorgeous.
I need to stop stressing over small things and definitely get better at exercising or being active.
ReplyDeleteLove your resolutions! The soul searching & feeling of starting over fresh is great- I especially like the putting down the phone/turn off the tv/etc. that everyone is talking about!
ReplyDeletelove these!! I am totally in the same boat with the hair issue. My hair is naturally straight, so I really don't have to fix it, if I don't feel like it!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck in 2012!
I know exactly what you mean about the hair. I always look at pictures with friends and think wow that would've been a great photo had I decided to brush my hair that day. Looking forward to future posts about Sarah Tucker events! xx
ReplyDeletegreat resolutions! I can totally relate about doing (or not doing) your hair-- it was my resolution last year. I've gotten so much better and it has taken some stress out of things! So not silly!
ReplyDeletehear you about the hair! it's sad how wrapped up i am about my hair! haha
ReplyDeleteI would definitely love to stop sweating the small things. You've got some great resolutions. I would love it if you stopped by and checked out my New years post :)

Happy New Year!! So funny what you said about wanting to do your hair more. That's on my list, too :)
ReplyDeleteDoing your hair more...what a great resolution! And that quote about worrying is one I'll have to keep reminding myself of this year. Thanks for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteI need to worry less too! I worry and then worry about worrying :) Ridiculous and something I definitely want to work on. I even prayed last night that God would help me trust him and know that everything will work out the way it is supposed to be. Nice to know there are others out there that feel the same!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy i stumbled upon your blog. I love all of your resolutions & may need to add a few to my own list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
xx

Great resolutions, Sarah! I like the idea of being kinder to yourself. I think I'm going to work on that too :) Happy New Year!

To stop being so hard on myself is a huge one for me too. I think as women we feel like we need to be superwoman - sometimes that is just not realistic!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals for 2012 :)
Totally agree with you about the hair situation! If only I could get it to lay flat without the 45 min. of flat ironing!
ReplyDeleteConsistently exercising is a big resolution for me (and I'm sure 1 billion other people in the world) as well! Just remember, its not about consistency as much as it is enjoyment. Consistency always follows :) Happy new year, cheers to good health xoxo
ReplyDeletelove all of these quotes! I have similar goals for myself :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love Matthew 6:27. That is one of my goals too--worry less. It is after all what God wants anyways-trust Him more and worry less. :) Great post.
ReplyDeleteresolutions? nah..
ReplyDeleteI have a 5-year plan. (less intimidating than it sounds I promise)
but I'm pretty excited about it?
I think the last quote is my fav!
ReplyDeleteDon't sweat the small stuff is my new motto. I'm like teflon now.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your new goals!
These quotes are beautiful. I think two things i'd like to focus on this year is to be a little more patient. and carefree.
ReplyDeleteCutest dress *ever*...I'm always a fan of fun stripes and great fit! (c: And I'm with you...definitely need to work on doing my hair more often...hehehe...okay, okay, maybe there are more things I need to work on...like being less sarcastic (c: Happy 2012! Here's to another great year! (c:
