eat. sightsee. relax. repeat.
this is our rough draft for all holidays and of course, italy is no exception.
real authentic Italian food.
few things in this life are better.
i love the juicy tomatoes, homemade pasta, salami, yummy cheeses... they just do it right.
In Greve we ate at Gallo Nerro, and Osteria Di Passignana
in Parma we ate at Trattoria del Tribunale
and in Firenze, and San Gimignano ... it was so good, but both names escape me.
anyway, all have my endorsement as everything was divina.

Ok, so I didn't head your warning... and it's midnight over in my neck of the woods, and I'm starving now! All this looks amazing. I miss Italy. I never had a bad meal there and I miss my 4 times a day gelato. Hope you are having just the best time ever!

ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
OH. My. goodness. I can't wait until I have enough money to go to italy and eat like that. ?? THat might seem like a weird thing to say, but I might just have to buy a piggy bank and label it "italy eats". the eggplant parm looks amazing! and tiramisu. Italians know how to do it right.
ReplyDeleteOMgah - I DIE! The Salumi platter, that lasagna, truffles, and pasta! it's gastro heaven! I think I'd need to lose 30 lbs before I'd ever get to Italy just to prep myself for all the food I'd inhale! Thanks for sharing these delectable pics!

Thanks for the warning. Even if I am not hungry I would love to eat each one of these delicious plates.
ReplyDeleteThink I will discuss with my husband about a visit in Italy soon.
And your photos are gorgeous by the way! Can't wait to see more tomorrow.........loved Firenze!
Have a great day!
Oh wow! All of these dishes look absolutely amazing. You have me craving a trip back to Italy immediately! There is nothing better than authentic Italian food!
ReplyDeletei didn't heed the warning either and had to eat 2 pieces of pizza afterward in order to chanel the italian vibe.
ReplyDeleteyay firenze!
I didn't heed your warning - mistake.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a confession... you noticed that I was wearing the same wedding dress. That's because, like many engaged women, I followed Style Me Pretty religiously. I saw the dress on YOU and said, "that is exactly what I want to wear". So I hunted it down. Called everywhere in the greater NY area and finally found it at a little shop in Brooklyn.
And when I stumbled upon your blog while blog hopping one day, I was like, "THE GIRL WITH THE DRESS! AND SHE LIVES IN EUROPE! FOLLOW."
So that is my story. And I hope it doesn't sound as creepy to you as it just did to me when I read it over. In any case, thank you for submitting your wedding to Style Me Pretty - it was lovely, and without it I may never have found my dream dress :)
firenze today!? or tomorrow? goshhhhhhhhhh take me with you. no seriously. this is painful. take me.
