So JB left.
I'm pretty much the gloomiest looking girl on my block.
I can't decide if I love or hate the hidden notes everywhere.
each time I find one, I start to cry.
boo-hoo.
no, but i can decide. i do love them. particularly the one near the cheese in the fridge.
you knew I'd go there first.
no, but i can decide. i do love them. particularly the one near the cheese in the fridge.
you knew I'd go there first.
I'm gearing up for the next time I see zu mann (german for the husband- i think...?)
. . . we will be jetting off to Scotland just a few days after my arrival in Suisse. a whole 6 weeks away.
To visit our friends and return to my homeland.
My maiden name was morrison y'all.
we even have our own plaid.
i'm scottish. the kilt wearing kind.
sooooo in preparing for our next adventure and honestly mainly to cheer myself up ...
I thought Prague deserved a re-post. I didn't do it justice the first post around.
due to exhaustion. Yep, exhaustion from a two week summer vacation.
Yeah ... don't feel bad for me.
But my head was spinning by the end of the trip. I definitely arrived at the point where I could not read another sign or go into another museum. I'm apparently not that cultured. So anyway, pardon my first post. Here's a few better photos from our lovely time in prague. oh and a video (:
{we're not ballers. that's like 10 $ usd. annnnnd love midday espressos in europe. would never do it in america}
{garlic bread. an app on every menu in prague. yes, please.}
{a piano in the middle of a park in prague. why? i don't even care. just please, please continue}
{basically my constant companion, next to JB when i was there}
{note to self: take sunglasses off this summer}
Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into prague.

ReplyDeletePrague looks beautiful!!!
Could you be any more adorable?? I LOVED Prague when I went, it was a crazy whirlwind. We also have a plaid in Scotland (half Scottish, Half Irish: O'Brien and Ross), and I was going to go when I lived in London, but wanted to devote more time to it. So jealous! What a sweet hubby to leave you notes :)
ReplyDeletelooks so beautiful there! You two are so cute, man! I cant wait to see what your babies look like, hehe, blonde hair blue eyed :)
ReplyDeletexoxo,Laura

ReplyDeleteitll fly by..little love notes are the best
AW you look gorgeous in Prague! So cute that he has left you little notes everywhere! Keep them FOREVER! Seriously and then tell your (blonde) babies about them later in life! :D

How cute that he left you little notes, that is so sweet! I hope the 6 weeks flies by fast for you! I "kinda" know what it's like... I get to see my guy ever 2 weeks or so, boo!
ReplyDeleteyou two will be together again soon pretty face. i absolutely admire every single picture in this post, they are divine!
ReplyDeleteLove every picture. You two look like you fit right in. And now Prague just might be on my must vacation to list.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all these pictures are sooo dreamy!
ReplyDeletesecond of all, you are sooo strong for having your husband leaving! I don't think I could do that ever!!
xoxo
Livy Love
aww so pretty! i feel for you! my fiance is swiss and when we were coming home from st. moritz after the new year, he got stuck there with a visa issue for 3 weeks!!! not the same as 6, but it feels like forever! I hope the time passes quickly, before you know it, you'll be having a wonderful european summer!
ReplyDeletei just have to say: my europe trip has not seemed real until this moment. i just got completely giddy looking at these pictures. i am so so so so excited after seeing this.
ReplyDeleteah! i want to jump into these pictures right now.
and i hope the lightning storm went away. :)
Gorgeous photos! What type of camera and lenses do you use?
ReplyDeleteCheer up :) 6 weeks will go by so much faster than you think it will. I did 6 weeks without the BF just before the holidays, and those first few days are rough. But then they start to fly by. Next thing you know, you'll be together and more in love than ever... and I will rejoice at your cheerfulness once again.
ReplyDeletei won't try and cheer you. 6 weeks away from your husband sucks. but i will entertain you with my delightfully witty humor.
ReplyDeleteand then i'll just envy your life abroad.
I visited Prague almost two years ago and absolutely loved it! It is indeed the 'golden city' of Europe. Wouldn't mind going back there one of these days! xo
ReplyDeletethe notes - sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteooooh your coming to scotland! be prepared for the gloomy weather, its piddling with rain right now. booo.
xxx
i love your pictures. and i love prague. when i went there i didn't own a camera. maybe next time:)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I adore Prague - feels like walking around in a fairy tale. One of my favorites! Gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, and your husband's love notes are the sweetest!
ReplyDeletelove notes = so sweet! hang in there :)
ReplyDeletesooo many things to say.
ReplyDelete1. close, ''mein Mann'' = my husband....although swiss german is so crazy that who knows how they say it there. ;)
2. i laughed out loud about the cheese in the fridge.
3. i love prague. it is only 19€ to get from here to prague. meet me there, k? thanks.
4. i looooove the czech kronen (sp?) just for the mere fact that 500 of it = so little of our currency.
5. i definitely read ''an app on every menu in prague. yes, please.'' as...''an apron on every man in prague? yes please'' and then proceeded to scroll through your photos looking for a pic of jb(or any man) wearing an apron/why you seemed to find it so sexy.
6. i have an photo of me in that same spot in prague (above the band photo)...maybe we should photoshop and make it look like we were there together.
7. i'm coming to switzerland. then we can take non photoshopped pics together.
GIRL! Try going 6 MONTHS til you can see your man!! My boyfriend left for spring training about a month ago and will be away for the season til SEPTEMBER!!! Ahhh, they have games everyday so he has to stay put! last year during the season i was only able to visit 3 times! not enough time. but "sometimes your greatest pains become your greatest strengths" :)just think on the bright side: now you have 6 weeks to find the MOST amazing outfits to visit JB! hehe, now THAT makes me instantly happy :)
ReplyDeleteDo you realize how many of us will be in Europe together? me (most important) Sophie, Jenni, E.day at some point, Em at some point...
ReplyDeletei mean. its out of control.
Collin loves Prague. I havnt been there yet. I also havnt worn sunglasses in Europe yet. But i am hopeful it will happen soon.
Cheese. you are a girl after my own heart.
GREAT pics! I hope these next 6 weeks fly by for you!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope the next 6 weeks flies by until you're back with JB! These photos are beautiful Sarah, thanks for my Thursday morning trip :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Looks like a great time. Love your lipstick in the photo with the blue shirt--haha-random I know. Anyways, my hubbs just left too--different situation--we are moving and he going first. *Insert sigh* However, I have a calendar and I am marking down the days! Hope it goes fast for you too!
ReplyDeleteAwww babykinS!!! I know it's so hard with Jb leaving!!! :( Sadddddddyyyy!!! Love the Prague.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful!! Prague has definitely been added onto my vacation list!
ReplyDeleteHoping time flies til you see your man again!
Sad!!! I hope the time goes by so quickly until y'all are together again!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are AMAZING! One question .. WHAT are those sugary looking things? Besides delish?
xo! Lauren @ tickled.
My boyfriend lived in Prague for a little over a year - he came home for a visit, with every intention of returning to Prague, and then he met me :) Needless to say, after seeing these photos, I feel kind of bad about keeping him here! I didn't realize Prague was beautiful - I cannot wait to visit.
ReplyDeleteI have my own plaid too! I was a Wallace before I married my Indian man :)
ReplyDeleteYes, as in Braveheart William Wallace...he's in my family tree!
I SOOO want to go to Prague. Everyone I know that has been has just loved it.
I just got back from Prague literally 4 days ago. I L.O.V.E.D. it! Although next time I want to go in warmer weather...trucking around with a coat on is not nearly as fun as blue skies and sweet dresses.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! in the words of liz lemmon: "i want to go to there!!"
ReplyDeleteI first found your blog when I was looking for tips on Italy. Wheee one month and I'll be there! Your blog has made my travel bug grow bigger, I want to go everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAww I hope you are so busy that the next thing you know you are in Europe!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of Prague! Unfortunately although I have traveled pretty much every country in the EU, Prague is still on my Go to list.
xo

I love Prague! I'm 50% Czech so that's kind of like my homeland :) Sorry your hubby is gone, at least you have some super wonderful things to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteAh! I'm going to Prague NEXT WEEK! Your photos just made me even more excited about our upcoming adventure. Love the blog.. check out mine when you get a chance:

Very nice pictures! One of my best friends visited Prague last year. She really had a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such an amazing time! Every time you post photos from your various adventures, I find myself saying "I NEED to go there!!". It's becoming unhealthy... ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look so gorgeous in every singe one of your photos! And that piano in the park... I die. Amazing. xoxo
Oh My God!! Now, I want to go too!! Lovely photos!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy haven't I been to Prague? A little jealous of your life right now. These photos are amazing! I love how everything in that part of Europe seems to go with pastel pink... and geez, that car is the bomb. If I were in Europe, I would totally call up you and Jenni Austria Germany stat for some garlic bread and dare I say... a mimosa! Which brings me to my most pertinent question... Why am I not in Europe? I need to get on this.
ReplyDeletelooks like a fairy tale city! hope those 6 weeks fly by so you can see your man again ;)
ReplyDeletei can't get over that pink car! So amazinnggg. Such beauty. And was that some type of cinnamon pastry?? I can't be sure but it looked tasty! thank you for sharing. Such great pictures...
ReplyDelete♥cheche
my mom is czech and grew up in prague so we've gone back a lot. it's might be one of my favorite cities. it's so beautiful. and i love that i understand a language not many people do.
ReplyDeleteSarah - your pictures are so lovely! I am going to Prague in June and am now even more excited for my trip :) Do you have a suggestion of comfortable but cute shoes to wear while trekking around the city?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Karen
@ karen It was either warm or cold.
ReplyDeleteI wore flip flops during most days and boots at night.
and the steve madden intyce tan leather riding boots ...
I have them in cognac and black. They are really comfortable. In june it'll still be a bit chilly I would think. So you may want to lean on the side of boots all day/night.
it is a lot of walking! which is fun (i think) and June will be a great time to go.
Enjoy your trip!!
xo
Prague is such a gorgeous city. It was the last stop on an almost month-long backpacking trip through Europe two years ago, so I feel like I didn't really get the chance to truly appreciate it. I'm looking forward to going back one day!
ReplyDeleteI loved visiting Prague last September and your pictures make me fall in love with the city all over again!
