i love you. you're divine. whenever I hear about you or reminisce about you, my eyes glaze over like a love drunk fool.
my husband makes fun of me because we have to see other places in Europe ... but all my heart wants is Italy ... I keep telling him - we could just go down for a few days to Cinque Terre or Portofino or Florence. I mean, we will literally be four hours to the italian border. positively crazy-ness not to, right? But he is wise and tells me I need to be open to the other places we're heading this next year. I say - OK. fine. but we are going back to Italy next year, right?!! Hoping I feel that same way about Greece, Sweden, Scotland, and Croatia. But perhaps this little heart of mine couldn't handle that much longing.
What is it about gelato, italian tomatoes, and the gorgeous milanese women?

My husband asked me to marry him at the Boboli Gardens in Florence and we went back for part of our honeymoon. Italy (Florence especially) will always have a special place in my heart.

ReplyDeleteohhhhh man i love italy too! i am DYING to go to Cinque Terra. it is top of my list. i am definitely sure you will feel exactly the same about all the other lovely places you get to go to! I have only been to Greece out of all of them and it was AMAZING! the islands are just the best! xx
ReplyDeletei try not to go to the same places over and over (who am i kidding, i go to either salzburg or poland every weekend) but i cannot keep away from cinque terre. i go there once a year and don't regret it. it's magical!

That is true, Italy is simply Italy and no further explanation needed. BUT I am assuring you, Greece, Sweden and Croatia are also super nice, you will also love it I am sure! I LOVE Sweden, the landscape, the little red wood houses, the people (they all look like they are models, I am serious)!!
