My favorite part about staying in the rainforest is the sounds that come out at night. You can hear every animal singing their song. I just love it.
Thanks to JB's in laws anniversary present we stayed in this
beautiful hotel right in the rainforest. They even upgraded us, making it even sweeter.
Do you have any good upgrade stories?
I usually just try to be as kind as possible and sometimes that's all you need.

ReplyDeleteon my honeymoon, my husband and i first went on a mediterranean cruise and got to our room on the boat and it was a disaster. finally after no sleep for 24 hours and speaking with many crew members they upgraded us to a better room. it made all the difference!
Congatulations on your anniversary. looks like an amazing trip. We got upgraded on our 5th year anniversary trip. We were in NYC at the Palace hotel and when I mentioned to them this is our anniversary, they were so kind to upgrade us to an amazing suite overlooking 5th Avenue and the Cathedral in front of us. It was super!

ReplyDeleteActually, I have a pretty damn good upgrade story myself. Just a couple months after Matthew and I met (our relationship was pretty fast and furious), we went to New York City and stayed at the Ritz Carlton Central Park. Matthew worked his magic on the front desk guy and got us upgraded from a small interior room to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom SUITE with a view of 6th avenue AND Central Park. Is it any wonder that I married the guy?! :)
Our 1st anniversary is Feb 7, and we're staying in a really charming little B&B in this little tourist town here in TX... I'm hoping I'll have some awesome photos to show for it, just like yours here! :)

ReplyDeleteI often get upgraded, especially when traveling with family because I feel there are about a bajillion of us, and because my father owns a hotel also. Plus, the family is charming :) Kindness is usually the thing you need!

ReplyDeleteOooh and upgrades, heck yes! My hubby and I were flying from Seattle to London for a vaca in Europe. The flight was full, and I think they thought we were on our honeymoon (at that time obviously still giddy after over a year- and still am!). SOoooo they bumped us up to FIRST CLASS! For a 9 hour flight, yup! It was pure bliss, and prob the only time I will ever be in first class lol.
