we watched Letters to Juliet last night. Which was sooo sweet. Anything involving Italy and a love story has to be good, right? And of course Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave made it even more beautiful.
In the movie there is a wall next to juliets house where lovers leave letters asking for juliets advice.
this is the real wall.
The movie is mainly set in Verona, Italy.
my fair verona
what an idyllic italian location
Hope you all are having a great day!
we're packing up.
which is sort of sad. but also really exciting.

lovely movie, isn't it!? when I grow older, i wish i could be as elegant and poised as ms. redgrave. p.s. did you know that her laurenzo in real life is her husband, and they had a similar love story as in the movie ? :) it makes it even more romantic and cute. i love your italian posts, cant wait for you to post about firenze!
ReplyDeleteone of my favorite movies! I dream of some day traveling to verona. :)
ReplyDeletehmmm. a love story set in Italy DOES sound idyllic. i wonder who we know who has one of those?

So pretty! I haven't seen the film, but there's a show on the Travel channel called Passport to Europe and once when the host was in Italy she found a little place where folks send letters to Juliet and a group of volunteer women write back to them as Juliet. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the wall or the film? But I would absolutely volunteer! Such a sweet time that would be. :)
