We went to St. Gallen today (more on that later!). For now, I have to show you this library inside of the convent of St. Gal. It dates back to 719! It holds over 400 books that are over 1,000 years old. You have to wear special shoes and no cameras or bags are allowed inside. My jaw hit the floor when we walked in. There's even a gigantic globe. Globes and libraries ... there's got to be lots of you in heaven.
It is so beautiful! Don't you think? Are you a library lover?

I want the house that I grow old in to have a library. Actually, I want it to have the exact replica of the library that was in the beauty and the beast. When I hit the lottery, that will be my first order of business:)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It's funny, I don't ever go to a library but I love pictures of them. This one is definitely the tops. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!! I adore old libraries, especially grand ones that hold the treasures of the world. Those photos look fabulous. Thanks for writing about it!
