Last night Nelly and Lothar had us over for dinner.   Lothar is the president of JB's baseball team and Nelly is his sweet wife and incredible cook.  When we went to their house in early spring - which by the way, should be in architectural digest - I marveled at their garden even though nothing was in bloom.  You also have a view of rolling hills - in FRANCE.  He told us when the roses were in bloom he would have us over and last night was the night.  IT WAS HEAVENLY.  It is literally what I think heaven smells like.  And her cooking ... oh my delicious.  - you'll see.

 I wish i could do scratch and sniff on the internet.
